We understand that new proposed transmission infrastructure is creating concern around how fire risk will be managed.

In Victoria, there are currently around 6,500 kilometres of transmission lines. Bushfires have been managed and successfully fought around transmission infrastructure for decades.

We have been working closely with the CFA to try and answer key questions and provide further information to address concerns. An FAQ document prepared by the CFA on fire risk and transmission can be found below.
